Summary

The final funeral service for Former President Gerald R. Ford takes place in the Grace Episocal Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Speakers include former President Jimmy Carter, former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Richard Norton Smith, and former director of the Gerald Ford Presidential Library and Museum, Michael Ford, Steven Ford, and the grandchildren of Gerald R. Ford. Donald Rumsfeld announces the naming of the aircraft carrier ship, the USS Gerald R. Ford, saying, "How fitting it will be that the name Gerald R. Ford will patrol the high seas for decades to come in the defense of the nation he loved so much." Jimmy Carter speaks on his friendship with Gerald R. Ford even after being opponents in the presidential election.
